Colin Broadbent

I am originally from Bristol and am of an era when Soul music was a major part of the music scene so was brought up on mainly Soul with R&B and “Pop”. Hence my liking for Motown, Atlantic, Stax and various other labels.

During the 70’s I spent a number of years in South Yorkshire and was introduced to the “Northern Soul” scene and have kept a “healthy” interest in the music.

I moved to Cardiff in 1980 (for work) and have been here ever since. During that period I have been involved in running the “Blues Dragon Rhythm & Blues Club”, playing in a couple of bands as singer/Harmonica player and even a little Djing. However approximately 10 years ago I arrived at Radio Cardiff and have been there ever since. At present I present a show called “A Little Taste of Soul” every Monday from 9-11am and a Northern Soul show every Wednesday from 11pm to Midnight
