Soul Devotion

Last Sunday of the month 3.00-5.00pm | with Gaz Williams

Expect the coolest soulful vibes, upfront grooves and much more from this monthly show. Gaz Williams spans the full 360 degrees of soul music across 4 decades; from the 1970’s to 2000’s. Including: Disco, Funk, House, Jazz, Latin, Reggae and RnB.

Gaz is a veteran of the UK Jazz Festival scene and a regular at Brecon Jazz. He began DJing back in the day as a guest on Bristol’s Star Radio. All roads led to Radio Cardiff working alongside Life and Soul guesting on their ‘Sunday Soul Show’ and having a residency at the Funky Buddha Bar.

He went on to establish ‘The Soul Devotion Collective’ to play out at festivals, an ever evolving team of DJ’s from different corners, cultures and colours, united in their passion for soul music. Soul Devotion is a direct reflection of this with the aim of spreading peace love and unity through music.

His first record came from his older brother who purchased, second hand from a local pub jukebox, Marvin Gaye’s ‘What’s going on’. It had a hole in the centre and you had to press a plastic centrepiece in to play it!
