Emily Williams from The Temple of Peace, Cardiff’s ‘venue with a heart’ – which is home to the Welsh Centre for International Affairs – talks to the movers and shakers of global citizenship in Wales, hears inspirational stories, and plays some fine music.
Temple of Peace is a non-religious civic building in the Civic Centre of Cardiff. The centre’s conference and seminar facilities include the 200 capacity marble main hall, the 50 capacity wood-panelled council chamber and a smaller 20 capacity meeting room.
All the profits from hiring the venue go to the charity that runs the venue, the Welsh Centre for International Affairs (the WCIA). The WCIA’s vision is that everyone in Wales contributes to creating a fairer and more peaceful world. We do this by inspiring learning and action on global issues through delivering high quality global education, promoting peace and human rights and supporting international development from Wales.
Emily Williams has been an event’s organiser for festivals for many years, including Greenman and Glastonbury, one of which she still organises. She also has great experience in organising music events.
Emily has a beautiful dog and is a massive advocate for organic food and spiritual healing.
